After extending our stay in Sunland by 2 weeks, we finally and begrudgingly hit the road for home. As a family we are about 25 total pounds heavier, but with sweet tans and sun bleached hair. First stop was Rockaway Beach Oregon, where we spent several days checking out the beach towns and enjoying fresh seafood.

Next stop was Crater Lake Oregon, the views were amazing and the country was beautiful. Nights are a little colder in these parts and it was refreshing.

Next stop, after a quick night in Winnemucca NV, was the Salt Flats in Utah! Breathtaking views, beautiful sunset, and soooo much salt!

The salt flats kicked off our week of Utah National park tours. Zion National Park, Cedar Breaks Monument, Bryce Canyon, Canyonlands, and Arches National Parks all in the books. We absolutely loved Moab and plan to go back again!

We decided the best way to see Zion was by helicopter, so for my birthday we did a heli tour along the parks peaks!

Next stop was Bryce Canyon, we stayed near the base peaks with amazing views from camp. The park at sunset was beautiful. An attempt at a short family hike taught us that there will be no hiking further than 1 mile with a toddler.

Next stop was Moab, and we had such a blast here. We visited Canyonlands National Park, Islands in the Sky, in the AM one day, and then took a 5 hour off road adventure around and down below the park in the canyons in the PM. Mackenzie was a trooper all day! The next day we did sunrise at Arches National Park, and it was beautiful.

The adventure continues now as we head through SW Colorado into New Mexico on our journey home!
